Roll the dice. A good product IF you're lucky enough to get the solid leather pocket...
Bought and used several of the Marksman slingshots, as well as several replacement bands (Laserhawk).
Although the rubber tubing is excellent and strong, the small black leather ammo pocket is another matter entirely. Of my latest two slingshots and four bands, FOUR of the six pockets broke IN THE FIRST HOUR OF USE. One of them snapped on the THIRD PULL! That is entirely unacceptable.
What good is it to flaunt your super-duper Laserhawk rubber band if the pocket is worthless and renders the slingshot unusable almost as soon as it is used.
I could maybe understand a single lame leather pocket - but c'mon, 4 out of six new bands go lame within a few pulls of the package?
Upon closer inspection, it was clear that the 2 good pockets had a much tougher, smooth leather. The four that failed had a very flimsy, thin, stringy texture with many small fibers visible. The two good pockets had NO such fibers showing - and are still shooting clay ammo 200 yards after a week of daily use.
