Old Time Radio Shows
These Sony Walkmans are great to hook up with a Vacuum Tube Radio, specifically one with an RCA Jack. The Radio Shows from the Glory Period of Radio Shows can be played but preferably with some of additional amplification. That is not always the case, but can be on some of the Vacuum Tube Radios. Such a device is for sale on Ebay and can be purchased for this specific use.
Radio Archives out of Spokane, Washington offer some of the best and clearest Old Time Radio Shows on CD's and can be used for such a connection. They have the complete set of Orson Welles in his popular early 1950's Radio Show, "The Adventures of Harry Lime", and of course many of the other classic shows in amazing clarity, more-so than any of the other CD's from other companies that I have heard, and certainly better than the poorly transferred Audio Tapes.
An AM Broadcaster can be used also, but this is a simpler set-up. Of course, this can be used as was designed with Headphones, but this is an new method that works very effectively for those who enjoy the Classic Old Time Shows.
