If you want real Dyson buy Dyson
Unfortunately the old advertising is right if you want a proper good quality Dyson then that is what you should buy. It is a shame but this also true of the spare parts. This product was described as extra stretch which it certainly is not. The hose is a lot shorter than the original and the extension wand that should slid inside it is far too tight. The original hose has lasted something over ten years - this hose is unlikely to last much longer than a few months which will end up being a waste of money and a false economy because it will have to be replaced with a genuine part.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheaper alternative but could be longer
Pro. This hose is much cheaper than an original dyson hose so even if it doesn't last as long you can afford to buy 3 of these and still save a few pounds left over. Con. A bit short in length
Decent price and quality, but is let down by its length. It's shorter than the original hose and doesn't stretch far enough to vacuum a standard 13 step staircase.
