The Quintessential Cool Icon of the 1960's
The quintessential element of the cool 1960's. The majority of people who ever watched The Thomas Crown Affair always commented on the Persol 714 sunglasses with custom blue lenses from the cemetery scene in the movie. The design of the glasses and the shining cobalt blue of the lenses. These icons of male coolness were not available for years. Then Persol, recognizing the return of that fashion brought them out again and even named them after Steve McQueen who was an aficionado of the brand and wore them in his private life as well. Great fit, hinges that allow you to fold up the frames (originally built for railway conductors) and put them in a pocket. An extravagance? These limited edition Steve McQueen Havana brown and blue lenses are very high quality. I get compliments everytime I wear them and no one else has the same pair. The folding mechanism is high quality as is the leather case. I've had a few say, wow, those are the Steve McQueen glasses. Yes and they are the best. I used to wear Ray Ban Dekkos, which I still love but these are higher quality and more comfortable.
