  • Excellent battery powered chainsaw

The chainsaw was purchased in order to be able to carry it on a mowing machine. There are always odd branches and basal growth that need trimming & its not safe to carry a petrol chainsaw. I have also used it to fell conifers, some of which were rather large. To be honest I'd only just bought the chainsaw and was trying it out, & exploring its capabilities. I had a petrol chainsaw standing by which I was intending to use on the larger trunks. I found that the Dewalt was up to the task & would thoroughly recommend it Its light weight and ease of use makes it an ideal bit of kit. I have to say I was more than a little surprised at just how well it performs I use the 5.0AH batteries and find they last a reasonable time If I could give it 6 stars I would! All in all a splendid addition to my toolbox

  • Great bit of kit

Light and easy to use. Cuts cleanly and has plenty of power. Ideal for smaller jobs, but you should get something a little beefier for larger cuts or sustained usage unless you have plenty of batteries.

  • Great - safe alternative to a heavy petrol saw

If you are expecting the power of a petrol chainsaw then you'll be disappointed but with that power comes safety issues and weight. This seems far safer than a petrol version and has enough power to saw through fairly large logs and branches. It's far super to a pruner which seems to struggle with anything now than 3 inches diameter.

  • Compact, capable and easy to use

I purchased this chainsaw to be able to buck logs for firewood without disturbing the neighbours. It is capable and comparatively quite to a petrol saw. It cut 18” seasoned Lelandii with relative ease. It is light and compact making it perfect for small spaces and it can be thrown in the car boot for easy transportation. The only drawback is the bar oil reservoir, it does not have a seal, meaning the oil leaks. This is a known problem, I fixed it with a rubber o ring rolled on to the plug as it has a groove for it to sit in. The bar is only a little under 12” meaning it can be a little on the slow side when cutting thick logs. It is possible to upgrade it but it would be at the detriment to battery life. It has easy adjustable chain housing and chain tensioner meaning no need for tools, it has a solid chain guard and a good chain stop system. Over all I was impressed, 4/5 due to chain bar length and oil seal. Great if you already have the XR battery system!

  • Light and Easy

So much easier to use than a traditional or petrol saw, agree it doesn’t quite have the same power, but for most non trade use, it’s a great tool.

  • Great little chainsaw

I had read some good reviews and they weren't wrong. Cracking little saw for the money. I use it for chopping up logs for my wood burner. It is a little slower than a petrol saw but this is outweighed by ot being quiet and not having to mess with fuel and cleaning the carb etc. The battery drains quicker than I would like but it still gets few a fair few logs, not an issue I I have a few 5ah batteries for other tools so can swap over quickly. No tools needed to adjust chain tension which is pretty handy. No complaints.

  • Quite but has adequate power.

Good little saw. Great to pickup in the garden without making lots of noise. Only issue is it over oils and leaks oil when stored so I keep it on cardboard. Used with 5 amp hour XR batteries gives adequate performance.

  • Highly Recommended

Very impressed. A light weight tool, of which its capability surprised me. I used the saw to take down a large Damson tree in sections and then cut into smaller pieces. Used x4 fully charged 5ah batteries for the whole job. Batteries didn't get hot and coped well. Impressed

  • Great product But I didn’t realise I was buying from Germany #ImportTax

This is a great little chainsaw and it helps me out with odd jobs around the garden although I wouldn’t call myself a real lumberjack. Didn’t realise you have to sharpen it so often didn’t realise you have to keep it out of the dirt or it blunts the chainsaw. However have found that it’s easy to sharpen with a relatively inexpensive tool. Takes about five minutes once you’ve got the hang of it. Works well with the 5v deWalt batteries that I have for my other tool without issues. I am sneakily on the lookout for a Flexi volt 54v When they become a lot cheaper. It was a goodbye I no longer fear finding an oversized log in my firewood!

  • Great piece of kit

Even though its battery powered it’s still quite powerful it’s light weight I had 30/45 minutes of cutting off 1 battery which I thought was very good would recommend to anyone to buy
