heavier
much heavier than my previous model and more designed so restricted in its use. Depth gauge is not as easy to micro-adjust. Attachments do not include a half sole plate guide which I used to use quite a bit for mouldings as it was less fiddly than the fully adjustable guide. The motor must be poor quality and low efficiency as it is twice the power input of several old routers - probably why it is so heavy. As energy prices increase inefficient or over-powerful motors may become a consideration as they will cost more to run. Cracking tool, especially for the price
I'm a professional handyman and I have used this a few times now, it is easy to set up and start to use. Having not used a handheld router before I was concerned it might be hard to keep straight but the guide tool works great. Great router, great features.

No storage box
I would have given a 5 star review if the router had of come in a proper storage box to Keep it in rather than just a cardboard box. It wont be long before the cardboard box is no good and then there is no storage for it. Other items purchased like this for my son have always come in proper storage boxes.
