Shimano IX reels
I own several of these reels and use them almost every day. They have a smooth action, accessable rear drag and the quick fire mechanism makes them a joy to use. With near daily usage, they last me about 5 years. Shimano reel
Love those old Shimano reels. The quick fire lever and top center return are great. Shimano was the first I know of to offer it, now it's pretty common. The rear drag is great, and not so common. Try it once and you'll love it. The "Fightin' Drag" is nice too if you can get it. Okuma is also a good reel, but nothing beats the old style Shimano.
