Great crockpot, confusing packaging
I took some time to use this project before reviewing. I cooked a pot of dry beans. It works just like my other Rival Crockpots, good heat distribution, reliable, steady temperature on all the settings. I have a 6 quart, 5 quart, this 4 quart, a smaller one that probably holds 2 quarts and a Little Dipper. I also have a 7 quart Hamilton Beach. I prefer that one for chili because I do a long cooking and it has a tendency to burn in my 6 quart Rival Crockpot. Crockpot Brand has a tendency to cook at a little higher heat but for most things that works out well. I can bake chicken in the 6 quart oval and it turns out like baked chicken and not like it’s been stewed. This one will be much more useful than the 2 quart size and will replace that one and still work well if I need to be using 2 or around the 5 quart size. It will also be a nice size and shape if I decide to make a loaf of bread in the crockpot. The price was also more reasonable that what I’ve been finding at Walmart. Speaking of Walmart…the packaging confused me when it arrived. It was dropped off at my door with the crockpot box in a Walmart shipping bag with a Walmart sticker with my name and address on it. The same sticker that’s on my bags when I order Walmart grocery delivery. I couldn’t figure out What I had ordered from Walmart. The seller isn’t listed as Walmart. Are you sure that it’s not from Walmart? Either way I am happy with my purchases.
