Great quality... tricky fitting
A great roof rack but not exactly easy to fit. The fitting instructions are clear, but you can tell by the number of additional sheets folded in that people have desperately needed more explanation. Once you've figured out what you're looking for on your car and how to fit each bar it's fine. But it took me three goes and several hours, and I'm not new to working on cars and motorbikes. There's a moment of no return when you have to make several holes in your car's roof trim. It can be a bit worrying, especially when you then struggle to fit the bars and have to (temporarily) leave several great holes in your roof surround. Take your time, follow the instructions exactly and if in doubt, consider getting them professionally fitted. When they are on they are great quality though. Solid, a perfect fit and very strong they carry a kayak on my mini with ease. Another plus is that they clear the sun roof comfortably. They make a lot less wind noise than roof bars on other cars I've owned too. A good purchase, excellent value for money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Pro's: Good quality and provides a sturdy and most importantly safe and secure roof rack. Definitely go for this over an aftermarket unit due to the rather complex mini roof design. Cons: Expensive, but then anything Mini is generally overpriced. Initial installation is complex and not for the faint heated as it involves cutting the roof seal (You will need a box knife despite there being perforations in the rubber.) I would recommend reading the instructions several times and measuring at least twice before you actually fit them though I am very happy with the end result. Perfect, A bit fiddly to fit, there is a great youtube video for the installation as via official Mini, its American but still works well as a guide next to the booklet, the top box is now installed as the bars are solid, and look nice aa well, a great product that I would highly recommend.
