An inoperative camera purchased as a source of parts
I purchased the Bell & Howell vintage 16mm camera for obtaining parts to repair a similar camera in better condition. These were great, rugged, cameras
in their time, but are today suitable mostly for hobby applications. The camera had a usable viewfinder and a couple of good condition lenses that could be transferred to a different unit, which I did. The camera, itself, was inoperable, having a spring-wound drive that would be almost impossible to repair.
The purchase was a decent value, for what it was. Most of the value was in
the lenses and minor parts.
