Great grab and go scope
I wanted a good grab and go scope that was easy and quick to set up without having to colimate it or wait for long cool down times. The image quality with this scope is very good. I paired it with three BST starglider ED eyepieces. A 25, 12 and 3.2mm. I wasn’t sure what the quality would be like with the 3.2 as it’s a short tube achromat. I was pleasantly surprised by how little colour fringing there was on the moon, the image was very sharp. The supplied tripod is very lightweight and there is some vibrations when the slow motion controls or focus are used but they settle down after a few seconds. This could be improved by replacing it with a heavier tripod, the new eq mount however is a huge improvement over the old eq1 mount. The included eyepieces are ok to start with, the 25mm is a lot better than the 10mm but overall this is a very good kit for the price.
