Caught my mouse within 2 hours!

Bought this to replace my old plastic trap which was destroyed by an escaping mouse. This metal type is a similar design but much stronger and because it has more space it must be more humane. One important point to note though is that, being metal, the trap can get very cold in winter and I doubt that a mouse would survive in there overnight in winter without bedding. If you can't check the trap every couple of hours, just put a bit of cotton wool in so they can stay warm until release.

    No room at this inn!

Lovely well made humane trap, but sadly my house mice are either not hungry enough to find their way in, or they are escape artists. I have invested in 4 humane traps, caught 3 mice in the traditional tube trap and a big fat zero in this one after two weeks, I had thought of opening the flap so that the mice could come and go at will and then close this and once acclimatized maybe catch the remained of the mouse family.. I have a lovely ancient Yew tree i would like to offer as their new home, but so far no joy! but i am still hopeful!

  • It Works.

I bought 4 different types of trap to catch some field mice. This one being the most successful, catching a mouse every time I put it out. I used a tiny tub of Chocolate/peanut butter spread as the bait. 2 of the other traps caught a mouse as well but not as often.

  • Handy window and easy to release mice.

We have recently discovered mice in our airing cupboard. We originally used a plastic mousetrap which we have previously used successfully in our attic. The mice have destroyed two of these plastic mousetraps - we think that they have released one another by gnawing at the plastic hinges!! This metal mousetrap has successfully trapped the mice , but again, some have escaped after eating the 'bait' and somehow releasing themselves!! The trap is good, you can at least see the mouse, but we are dealing with some clever mice and after two weeks, still have them in the house.

  • Best mouse trap

This mouse trap is great. I caught 3 the first night by using wild bird seed and have caught 7 in total. Its solid and should last year's. The single plastic type all broke on first use (3)and the mice escaped.

  • Well-made and thought-out but this time unsuccessful

This trap is well made and designed, I liked that it was mostly metal rather than plastic, and the clear lid so that you can see the captive mouse. Unfortunately, our mousey intruder showed no interest, no matter what foods I put in as bait, although I didn’t try flour, which turned out to be its favourite food, and despite putting the trap in places I had seen it. I eventually found it eating into a bag of flour in my larder and managed to evict it out the kitchen door. I shall keep the trap in case I ever need to try it again.

  • Brilliant trap

I was amazed at how good this trap is, within four hours of it being delivered I had set the trap up and caught a field mouse in my garage. The trap is very well made and easy to use only needing the lid lifting and a bit of bait put in. The mouse is in no danger of being hurt and providing you keep a regular check it will not be harmed at all, I like the clear plastic window in the box lid which allowed me to see the mouse inside before I released it into a nearby field. This trap could also be used to educate children into nature watching by placing the trap in the bottom of a garden and showing them any small creatures caught, remembering to keep a regular check on it.

  • Qualified recommendation

Arrived very quickly. As described. Seems good quality. Baited with peanut butter. Nothing happened for 5 days, on the 6th day the peanut butter disappeared but no mouse was caught.. Hoping for better results soon!

  • Don't waste your money!

Been out 4 days now & not one mouse caught! My tack/feed room is a magnet for mice in winter & being an animal lover I don't like traditional traps but I'm running out of options as also tried the plastic live trap ones which also don't work! Sadly I've caught more accidently when they've fallen in bucket of water which is distressing but serves a purpose.

  • Works really well.

Sealed the place where mice were getting in; Caught 3 wood mice the first night it was set. Set with some grain and a container cap full of water to make sure trapped animals were fine. Released unharmed. Set again and caught the last one the next night. Slightly sharp edges as it’s obviously just pressed out of a thinnish layer of metal, but works perfectly.
