  • Most bang for your buck for video editors.

This laptop gets some ho-hum reviews from gamers, but I'm not a gamer, I do video editing. And for video editors on a budget, this laptop has to be the most bang for your buck. I've run HitFilm Pro with it, and even with only 8gb of RAM on board, it handled a composite shot I made with about ten 3D models incorporated into it. I couldn't really ask for more, especially for a 17.3 inch laptop that's less than $1,000 brand new. There is one flaw, and probably why it's so cheap, the battery itself does not have good longevity. I bought this one "like new" and less than a year old, just to find out shortly after I got it, the battery life deteriorated down to a max capacity of 78%. That still gives me about two hours of unconnected time at full performance, so I won't complain too much. And if whether you're a gamer or a video editor, you likely have your laptop plugged in most of the time you're using it. I can't wait to upgrade it to 32gb of RAM and see how it handles iClone 7.
