Great to have a complete set of a great Western
It’s difficult to find complete dvd sets of older, quality TV series so this was a real nice find. Comes in a nice boxed set with easy to access discs. Yes , the cattle came from the south , and before the railway arrived in all the States , it needed the kind of hudge organisation with a " trail boss " and his team , drovers , cook , "remuda" horses etc , all the problems of the consequence of the civil war are described , also the problem of the previous presence of Indians tribes in all the States , and the way , they were "genocided " to take their land . Rawhide has truly human stories about mostly men from different walks of life, all working together in the west to get cattle to market. Each episode is them dealing with different problems as they come up. Although black and white, minor amounts of violence. Great Western Series
Really am enjoying the Rawhide Western TV series DVD. This series is a great reminder of the good family western series in the 50's and 60's offered on TV. I don't have to worry about having to listen to foul language and that makes me happy. The stories are interesting and entertaining. My husband and I were in highschool when this series started and it is fun to revisit this popular series.
