NotesBluesbreakers with Eric Clapton is a 1966 electric Blues album by John Mayall's Bluesbreakers featuring Eric Clapton as lead guitarist. It is often referred to as the Beano album because the photograph on the album cover shows Clapton reading the Beano, a well-known British children's comic. Apart from being one of the most overall influential albums in Blues-Rock history, it was likely the first time anyone had heard a Gibson Les Paul guitar through an overdriven Marshall amplifier; this unique sound would become particularly influential. 12 tracks.

  • This is a must have record CD

This is a must have record CD, Best British blues some of Eric Clapton's finest playing, although Clapton is one the best guitar players that has ever lived. Also John Mayall (vocals, harmonica and keyboards) is fantastic , with John McVie who would later go play and play bass with Fleetwoodmac. This never gets old, recorded in March,66, If you like Freddie King and BB king playing sent to the next level. You will enjoy this album. Guy's, John Mayall's Blues Breakers on other albums have had such guitarist like Like Mick Taylor who when to the Rolling Stones, Peter Green who went to Fleetwoodmac, Also Coco Montoya a great blues guitar player in his on right. British blues would not be the same with out John Mayhall.

  • The best of the best.

I have both stereo and mono pressings of the original release which, given how collectible they are, I'm loathe to play often. Thus I opted for the reissue, and boy am I glad I did. Incredible sound, great pressing, and a reminder were any needed of what a watershed album this is.
