    Memories

    The 50's were a time of innocence as I was a child and world events didn't mean much at that age. The 60's were a rebellious time. A time of awakening to boyfriends, world events, and especially the Viet Nam War. There were protests going on everywhere making relevant issues visible and important, Civil Rights issues were prominent in the media along with the war issue and unfortunately there was much bloodshed not only in the war zone, but on the streets here in the USA. Listening to the music brings back many memories, as music often does, some are good and a lot are not, but again, life has its ups and downs and ewe have to learn that life is like that and that if we can, we should try to make this world a better place.

    Review of the top 100 hits

    I haven't run the cd's on my big stuff, only a small cd player. One of the cd's has a skip in it in the middle. I have not had time to listen to them all.There may be some non originals in the mix, but I cannot be the judge unless I compare them to my tape recordings starting from the mid 50,s. When I listen to all, I will be in a better position to evaluate with more precision. Great value however. Thanks for the memories!! CB

    I grew up in the 50s, and love the music, mainly because you can understand the words, and you can dance to the rock and roll. Todays music is rap, country, and singers who shout instead of sing. these cds arre of good quality and provide great sung.
