Why AUTOOL AST609 Pulsating Brake Fluid Bleeder?. AUTOOL AST609 adopts the new pulse oil change technology, which can change the brake fluid quickly and thoroughly. This technology uses a continuous high-frequency pulse signal to inject new brake fluid into the brake system and drain the old one, ensuring a complete change, effectively removing dirt and air from the brake system, improving braking performance and driving safety.
I can’t speak for this bleeders longevity as I’ve only used it a few times now. This is replacing several Sealey brand manual pump bleeders and will use this as a comparison.
The box it comes in is branded and well packed, and the adapters are excellent quality especially the ones for non-screw type reservoir caps.
Bleeding is high pressure from 1 bar (14.5psi) to 3 bar (around 45psi) it’s really like having someone in the car pushing the pedal down but maintaining 1 bar constant pressure on the up pedal position.
Speed wise is slower than a hand pressure bleeder but is a constant flow and this isn’t a bad point more an observation . Build quality looks great, nice cnc machined alloy case with flush fit bolts. 2 year warranty is reassuring.
I'm sure it will do the job, just not on my Subaru Impreza!
The principle is good, if the correct adaptor is included. I have an original GC8 Subaru Impreza and there is no adaptor for the clutch reservoir. This is a bit of an issue, as that is why I bought it in the first place. I'm sure that I will be able to use it on the Nissan 350Z clutch reservoir though, once I have got the Impreza hydraulic system bled and off the ramps! If in doubt, ask for your specific make, model and use before buying!
My only other criticism is that that the bleed nipple adaptor is a generic size and may be a bit large to maintain a vacuum seal.
