Fantastic - Very engaging build
There is a real passion for the car and design process. The inner boxes are a work of art and give the feeling of a premium set. The instructions mirror the actual build process of the Bugatti and each section has text from the lead designer explaining their thoughts. The final model is brilliant and very realistic. The designer explains how they’ve overcome challenges using existing Lego parts, but the model would perhaps suit a heavier spring in the suspension unit as most the movement is lost in sag. Aside from this the build is very engaging and informative. The v16 engine is something to behold, the 4 wheel drive system and 8 speed paddle shift transmission are also brilliant. The engineering and passion that have gone into this model are clear. This set will be very hard to beat. The Lego designers have done a brilliant job, To be part of that team would be awesome! Bigger and Better than the previous Gigantic LEGO Technic Car
Just like the Porsche 911 GT3 RS released by LEGO a few years ago, this has a working gearbox, engine and steering wheel, which is extremely impressive to build yourself in LEGO form! This LEGO Bugatti Chiron has about 900 extra pieces compared to the Porsche, so it is slightly bigger, and more fun to build as it will keep you entertained for longer! A masterpiece of interpretation by the Lego designer, of a road burning supercar.
A fantastic Lego interpretation of a legendary sports car. A challenging build with 3,599 parts, but clear instructions. A beast of a model, 60cm long. Various functions. A working 8 speed gearbox. 4 wheel drive with 2 working differentials. 16 cylinder engine with crankshafts and moving pistons. Working rack and pinion steering. Cons: Too heavy for the suspension to work effectively. The engine and complex gearbox is mostly hidden when the model is completed Overall. 27 hours of pleasure building the beast. Worth the money, worth the time, worth the wait
Amazing to build, so far im half way through it and spent 15 hours, the instructions are difficult and tricky and yes I've had to go back through it a few times to double check parts and had some small issues, but i like things to be perfect. The engine and gearbox is all very amazing how it all works and inner joins with each other so in that sense when putting the gears together and the interchanging parts it can be deemed as educational, ok you won't be able to build a car after it but it still gives a decent understanding. It can also be a tad frustrating at times, but if you like building and like me enjoyed building the Porsche 911 GT3 RS then its worth the frustration as this is a more complex build compared to the other models out there.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
