  • I Give The Anthropocene Reviewed, 5 Stars.

Green has a way of writing that doesn’t just tell you/describe the subject matter but makes you feel it. In ‘these’ times the idea behind this book is great. Essays that though realistic do try to find the positive, in seemingly random aspects of life. The beauty is that via the aspects chosen you begin to know the author and learn of key moments throughout his life. It acts as a memoir of sorts. A great book with a unique concept. Brilliant for anyone struggling to concentrate on reading at the moment, it can be dipped in and out of. The essays are relatively short and can be read in any order, most interesting to you first? The range too from heavy medical/mental health issues, personal interests to at first glance inconsequential things such as scratch and sniff stickers. It is a brilliant reflection of life. I give The Anthropocene Reviewed 5 stars. My current favourite non-fiction read. P.S to anyone who has read the book I was sorely tempted to give it 3 stars and ‘It is a book.’ I think it deserves a little more than that though.
