Very useful lifesaver!
I am so dopey that many times I have left the house with my home iron switched on. IN FACT I JUST REALISED I DID THIS TODAY! This useful little gadget ensures it switches off, so that my iron won't burn out when you leave it running. My only issue with this device is they didn't make it so you could remove the casing and wire a device directly and permanently into it. Instead I have taped my iron plug onto it so the two are never separated and I'm forced to use it each time I use the iron. However this isn't the ideal solution. Anyway if you have kids in the house and are always distracted then this device can save their lives too. Just imagine you left your iron or hair straighter on and went downstairs? As careful as we are it can happen. If a small child crawls up half an hour later, the device will already have shut off and start to cool down.
