Product Information

An epic and compelling drama from actor/director Edward James Olmos. The film follows three generations of a Hispanic American family, from the 1943 Pachuco Los Angelean riots to the turmoil of the mid-1970s. Olmos himself plays Santana, a crime lord who rules over the LA underworld from within his cell in Folsom State Prison, Sacramento. The film charts the rise of the so-called Mexican Mafia in a brutal and disturbing fashion, but retains the message that gang warfare, for whatever reason, can never be justified.
