Great product - robust and easy to use.
Had a blocked/overflowing drain in the backdoor, under the kitchen window. Waste from kitchen sink, dishwasher and washing machine was forming puddles around the edge of the lawn as it couldn't run freely to the main pipework. Tried sink unblocking gels etc to no avail - had to get down and scoop out the pipework to reach the bottom of the small drain. Further investigation revealed the drain cover hadn't been mortared in properly allowing silt, dirt and sand to get under it and it eventually clog up at the base of the pipework. Removed as much debris as I could and then unwrapped the drain rod set. Each section screwed into the next pretty securely, and I made sure I turned in a clockwise direction as I pushed each section down into the drain and eventually along the pipework further below. You could feel the resistance as it encountered the debris and grime as it pushed through it. Instant success after 7 or 8 sections were added and the build up of silt etc eventually made it into the main pipework at the large drain some 25 feet away. A few gallons of water down the kitchen sink flushed away in a minute or so - debris completely cleared. I found another drain further down the line and rodded in both directions to clear anything that may still have been hanging around. Re mortared the drain cover in position properly to prevent any further ingress. This rod set was easy to assemble and use and, importantly, felt secure when in use. Saved me calling out a plumber and a chunk of expense. Highly recommend this productVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Drain busting brilliance!!!
Was quoted over £100 for a company to unblock my drain, so researched these rods and can absolutely recommend them. Did the job in a few minutes using the various attachments. Absolutely over the moon with the result. Tough pipes, flexible and solid joints that connect properly so, For the price, they’re a fantastic buy. Every home should own these and they hang away tidily in the sturdy carry bag. I never thought I’d get so excited over drain rods!!! DONT USE CHEAP Drain Rods
I bought a set of CHEAP BLACK drain rods last year for about £20.00 but as I was using them my nerve went as I could see they were indeed VERY cheap and were very likely to break which leaves a massive problem getting the broken pieces out of a sewage pipe. (Virtually impossible without digging) These blue rods however are great quality and well worth the extra £10.00. Nice set of drain rods. Brass ends which are pinned on (and maybe crimped). They are marked "Made in Britain" so you hope for quality. Good but not perfect
Only thing stopping this set from being five stars is the fact that the two plastic washers either side of the rubber plunger are too brittle and broke off almost immediately.
