Very Simple but plan ahead
What a great idea, fixed a garage door for 8 quid in stead of buying a new one for 700. Have a look at the instructions first though and pay attention. You may need 2 people if it is your first time using this kit, mainly to help with attaching to the hook on the vertical runners. Make sure that you pass one end of the cable through the pulley wheel on the horizontal housing at the top and put a screwdriver or similar through the eye of the cable to hold it in place BEFORE you attach the other end to the spring (once you have it out and are looking at the whole set up this will make complete sense)...this will save a lot of, well swearing to be honest.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Repair to garage my garage door!
Just one side of my garage door needed a new cable to be fitted. The original one had become old and spikey and breaking away. It took no time to replace with the 2 Cables + Rollers Repair Kit. Loads cheaper than a new door...
Well made cables and plastic rollers. Exact fit for old parts. Came in a small jiffy bag that fitted through the letterbox. I needed to replace a snapped cable on our old Garador. Cleaned off a load of old grease before fitting both cables and rollers. Oiled the mechanism and its back to a satisfying smooth action. The cable which saved a lot of expense.
When my garage door failed I feared the worse! My neighbour had replaced her garage door for a premium cost because hers had failed with exactly the same problem I had encountered. However, on examining my door I established that a snapped cable was the cause of failure. Trawling the internet I found I could purchase a replacement cable but was still concerned that I may not be able to carry out the repair myself. I need not have worried because the cable supplied came with a full pictorial of the installation details and after approximately an hours effort, the door was returned to full working condition and in fact operating more smoothly than before.
