Engineering excellence
As a complete novice to air brushing I began with a cheap-ish Chinese job and although I thought the results were acceptable, I put the runs and heavy splodges down to my lack of experience. After watching numerous technique videos I took the plunge and invested in this mid-range, mid-priced piece of German engineering excellence. Beautiful to operate, very forgiving, easy to clean and a joy to hold, this really is the bee's knees. I had no trouble with the nozzle guard but changing it for a "pinch clean" version made cleaning during use a simpler operation.
