Finally quality sound!
I’ve been wanting this for a while, always borrowing friends’ RØDE mics, but now I’ve got my own. Amazing for loud sources like live music, which is what I primarily use it for, as well as interviews and pretty much anything. Makes it very easy to control audio levels in-camera without distortion. Highly recommended purchase if you’re into video on a DSLR.

Fills the gap for stereo on camcorder or DSLR pick up with side noise rejection.
The case is aluminium which is strong but a bit heavy for modern camcorders, however it is made this way to avoid Radio Frequency penetration and is effective having tested it into Rode Go II radio transmitters. Quality of pick up is good and rejection impressive for a non gun mic and far better than onboard mics, especially for presentation when radio mic or wired not suitable. Dead Kitten windshield very effective, but a smaller foam option would be good.

I wasn't too sure but .....
I wasn't too sure if this would be noticeably better than the built-in mic on my camcorder: and after the very first test, I was convinced! The difference is like night-and-day!
