Practical, smart, and good quality
This is an excellent compact umbrella: smart and well made It's big enough to provide good shelter from the rain, yet packs away into a compact size. The fabric and the mechanism are strongly built and it's easy to open and close. The spokes are strong and the umbrella keeps its shape in moderate winds. It is designed so that it will flip back on itself in a strong gust, but without collapsing – it will instantly snap back into the correct shape if turned against the wind. The cord is strong and if you keep it around your hand, it prevents the umbrella from being snatched away by strong winds. The fabric dries out quickly after use and the umbrella furls easily into the supplied sleeve. When packed away, the product is easy to carry and slips into a coat pocket or a car door pocket (where I keep mine). Ideally, I would like the handle to be a little longer. However, the rest of the product is so good that this is acceptable. Mine was bought to replace an identical Fulton umbrella that was only eventually defeated by an exceptional storm and otherwise lasted in regular use for many years. I didn't hesitate to get another one the same.
