It looks like it should work. Will use it this winter when I start working on the motor. My dad was a John deer mechanic for 46 years and I remember him also talking about how good those kits were when doing valve jobs. That why I ordered it for doing my valves on my 1930 v harley davidson. I can't really answer the above questions correctly yet but my dad shore believed in them.

Cheap enough and probably good enough for light work but not enough grit for a new valve or heavy lapping. It’s the only grinding paste (more of a gel) that I could see light through. I have more grit under my nails some days :( Just waiting for my Chemico to arrive so I can lap in some new valves. It would take weeks with Holts.

great to use,it says what you need to use first on the tubs and straight forward. i did not use a drill to speed the process as mentioned on you tube you may take too much off, use the wooden tool supplied. so as to to take not too much off.

Great product got the job done well took some hand work though which took me a few hours also you have to clean the rubber suction cup if you get the grinding compound onit use coirse first then the fine test the inlet valves with water to see if they leak after until they stop leaking
