Makita 240 Volt strimmer does a pro job
Firstly, There are a ton of strimmers on the market and I was getting fed up looking for one. I had one that packed up in short order and I was loaned one that was a toy. Having decided on one, it was out of stock and I could not find it so I went back to my roots and went with Makita. Nearly all my power tools are Makita and I think it fair to say I am a Makita fan. This was not my first choice but now I have it and have used it a few time, I am kicking myself for looking at others. This is a professional quality line strimmer that is nearly a foot accross with double line feed. If you have ever had double line feed you will know that they can be a bit of a pain but trust me when I say that Makita have looked at all the others and improved on them all. This one is easy to use, easy to load, very easy to feed. You can adjust the handle and strap to fit you and the shaft moves up and down, which for me is great to collapse it down in hard to reach areas and collapse it down in storage. You can rotate and angle the head which give great control on borders and lawn edge. Overall, I could not be happier with this and it is fantastic value on top.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Typical Makita quality product, at a good price
My only reservation, after a couple of uses, is that it is a little difficult to see the exact point of the cut - with my old Bosch that it replaces, you could see exactly where the strings were, and where they were about to cut. With this machine, the view is somewhat obscured by the cutting shield. I suppose that I will get used to judging it with time and use.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not good
I used this trimmer three times and it seemed ok, the next time I tried it the line cord spun back into the cassette, I pulled the line out four times, every time it did the same thing, I even took all the line out and rewound it without success.
