Solid/counter early 1950's period American film production.See it!
Certainly a period (genra?) film given the madness of the Cold War. National paranoia was pronouncedt in the pre-McCarthy era. It took some courage to counter/present this film. I can't see any big star actors at that time taking on such a neutralist/peace-oriented role-they were quite feaful of HUAC. Splendid screenplay and very well acted.Interesting role our military played in countering this existential threat. Next theme/film Dr. Srangelove? I give it a solid B+.
