Nice "Trash Bandit" protection
Our biggest problem for automatic feeders is the loss of corn or feeder damage caused by "trash bandits" (aka raccoons.) We have put these cages on the 2 Boss Buck feeders we have with exposed motors. Before we used them we lost a couple hundred pounds of corn by "TB" climbing on the motors a scooping it out from the bottom. They also opened the control box and ruined a timer and 2 of the expensive 12v batteries. Now, we just watch and laugh as they get frustrated trying to get into the motor. PS: It also helps keep cows from messing with the corn and feeder motors.
