Great product for nut niblets but let down by the nuts and screws which have to be opened to clean it.

Dissapointed
Bought this feeder to replace one destroyed by the Squirrel, it looked to be good with metal lid and base and what looked like metal surrounding the feeding holes, but oh no its just plastic painted to look like metal (silver). Misleading description, not stainless steel
This bird feeder is sold as stainless steel deluxe bird seed feeder which is misleading . The reason I ordered them was because we have a problem with squirrels chewing the cheaper plastic feeders, so I thought they would not be able to chew these as they were stainless steel. The handle, top and bottom may be (although I’m not certain they are!) but the perch and hole protector most certainly are not. I put one of the two feeders I bought out yesterday, and today the squirrels have already chewed around the seed holes on both sides!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This looks to be a well constructed feeder. I had assumed that the two silver ports were steel like the base and hanger. The first squirrel attack proved me wrong. The ports are plastic, rendering the feeder useless within a few minutes. A robust unit let down by the weak ports.
