  • Worth the price even if you aren't a beginner

GIven the title, I didn't actually expect much from this book, but there is a remarkable amount of good information plus a CD with exercise tracks. It is written in a very accessible style that makes reading enjoyable rather than a chore. You can just skip the total beginner stuff (like "how to hold the guitar") if you already know how to play -- there's still a wealth of info for you. And if you ARE a total beginner, you'll get plenty out of this book. Well worth the price.
