These cards have been reprinted as the Wisdom seekers Tarot, without the gold foil and with orange stippled backs instead of the orange and gold pattern.
Good thick card stock with a plastic coated finish. Unusual and attractive cards. The cards are great if you already have an understanding of the meanings. The book is OK but Fontana has assigned Swords to Fire and Wands to Air, amongst other anomalies. Fortunately, though, the illustrations stick to the traditional symbolism, with the wands predominantly red and fiery and the Swords yellow. The minors are somewhere in between pip cards and illustrated ones, with the illustrations hinting at the meanings. Understanding numerology would be helpful with this deck. The illustrations are stunning, they are by Sylvie Daigneault (who barely gets a mention as the artist). She uses crayon, and the cards are bright and bold with a delightful simplicity.
