It has a pure badger knot and an ash wood handle. NB The item in the photographs is the actual one for sale. I bought this brush new a little while ago but never got around to using it.
Bought to replace an Edwin Jagger brush which was disintegrating despite only five months of careful use. I've owned a Semogue boar brush for some time and it's barely shed a hair. The badger brush looks every bit as good and I'm hopeful of a long relationship with it.
