  • Excellent TL1000 rear master cylinder service kit

If you know what you are doing its really easy to strip down the old master cylinder, remove the piston and replace the spring and seals. If the piston has seized, use a vice to hold one end of the master cylinder and use heat to free the piston (don't use excessive heat it is an aluminium casing just enough to free the piston). Once released use a Dremel to clean up the external chamber (the bit where the dust cap goes) and the piston. on reassembly once the piston is in place put some grease in the external chamber. Fit the push rod with the washer on (put some grease on this as well) it then fit the circlip and the dust seal. Reassemble the fluid reservoir and feed pipe... Job Done. I did buy a second hand rear brake master cylinder assembly. In case this did not work. Happy to say I did not need it. Overall the job took about 45mins - 1hr.

  • M/Cyl repair kit.

Pleased with item. It is good value for money and the quality of the rubber seals was good. My cylinder was quite badly corroded so could have done with a new piston which some of the more expensive kits have. But you get what you pay for. Would recommend .

Don't read too much into the 4 stars, not full marks yet as I have not filled up the system to check if all works well. But seem very good quality
