Used it for 2 projects now. Great results.
Nice entry level kit I chose after a bit of research. The box is well made and the taps seem to be strong and reliable. I've used it for 2 projects in the last week to cut M3, M5 and M6 threads both in machine tool steel and aluminium. Pretty effortless for a newbie after watching a couple of YouTube videos. If you are a newbie like me you may not have realised about the coding on the taps. There are 3 at each size which on the face of it look identical. However they are not, they are for first, second and third cut. There is an engraved set of stripes near the base of each tap. 1 stripe for first cut, 2 stripes for second cut and NO stripes for third cut. Each grade cuts the same spec of thread, just a little deeper each time. You can just about see the difference in the shape of the taps if you compare them by eye. Seasoned users will probably already know this, but it's not covered in any instructions so I hope it helps someone! Don't use the third cut tap before the others, especially in hard metal!
