Top quality phono plugs
It's difficult to get excited by phono plugs, but I love these! They're near identical to the plugs used by QED on the QUNEX 2, and of the same high quality. If they're good enough for QED they're good enough for me! Pair them with a decent Van Damme cable or something similar (they're a perfect fit for 6.35mm cable used by VD and many other decent audio cable manufacturers) and some silver solder and you'll have a cable to rival some of the best at a fraction of the price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

RCA phono plug which is easy to grip and looks a quality item
What is there to write about a phono plug? Well not much if they work, but some are loose when pushed into a socket or so firm that they risk damage to the equipment they are used with. This one has a reassuring fit that is neither too loose or firm. The body is easy to grasp and the polarity colour markings are easy to identify. Soldering and assembly is easy, but it suffers from the usual phono plug problem in that the cable grip is not that secure when used with admittedly large cables. Excellent value for money
For a little over £5.00 you're getting two pairs of surprisingly sturdy, fine plated and precision machined plugs with a good amount of grip on the sockets once engaged. They have been swiftly delivered without the slightest mark, scuff or signs of corrosion and have been a doddle to solder properly. I have used a heat sink, as always, however I'm pretty sure the polymer casing surrounding the centre pin would not soften and distort the alignment even if I hadn't. I don't think you will do much better. They take solder well so they are quite easy to fit and they have a good cable restraint so they are solid when fitted. They also look good.
