One of the very best games on the gameboy and my personal favorite
This game goes above and beyond with its action platformer gameplay and unique aesthetic and story. You play as Firebrand, a Red Arremer, in the ghoul realm (i.e. hell) which has been invaded my evil destroyers. Yes, more evil than hell creatures themselves. You traverse multiple levels and beat several bosses to finally face King Breager, king of the destroyers. Controls are incredibly tight and responsive and the flying/wall grabbing mechanic is really unique and incredibly fun. The music, by the way, is some of the best on the gameboy. Including remixes of the ghouls and goblins theme and all new pieces, the soundtrack is incredibly good and fitting. The game isn't super long, I completed it in about 2 days of on and off paying, and the password system can be a little tedious but don't worry, passwords are only 8 characters long and you will probably only have to use them one or twice to reload your game. The password saves all progress including items and what level you are on. Definitely pick this one up if you are a platformer fan or otherwise.
