This is a fast and beautiful phone. I have rooted mine and find it outstanding; quick and flexible. I recommend it. The sole problem is _battery life_. It is not miserable and will last with heavy usage an entire day; however in that circumstance it must be charged daily. Nonetheless it is recommended.

This phone has great features but the battery life is terrible. I'm not sure if it's because it's an older phone and the battery is running out. But I think it's a combination that and the actual design of the phone. I carry an extra external battery pack with me and make sure I keep this plugged in. Because when it hits 20% it shuts off. But the price was right at $79 so I'm keeping it

Hello, I have yet to need a use for cellular GPS, as I'm going to buy a GPS. Anyway, my review involves what GSM carrier I used under the government and why the GSM carrier worked, which surprised me, when my family gets home it will surprise them too. I use a company called Budget Mobile, which is under the California Lifeline Program, funded by the government for free phone service without Wi-Fi. In order to use Budget Mobile, the carrier phone must be a unlocked AT&T or T-Mobile phone, but in this case, surprisingly an updated Windows Phone from Verizon unlocked, this HTC One M8 works with quote "ANY GSM CARRIER EVEN IF YOUR GSM CARRIER SAYS NO VERSION OR SPRINT PHONES!" Apologize for the caps, but I'm not joking the product surprised me. I own Windows 10 Pro for my PC and now I own the HTC One M8 and I don't regret this decision as I was skeptical that I might. You can download apps to this phone which allows you to use the Google Play Apps Store. Google Play was one of my concerns with having a Windows phone, I did not realize that I bought a Windows phone until I got the product, I misread AT&T & T-Mobile with other carriers. I don't regret my mistake. Microsoft, and developers who made a Windows Google Play App Store continue to impress me with their overall quality of products. Additionally, from HCT's website M8 Specs (just the storage): "Total storage: 32GB, available capacity variesRAM: 2GB Expansion card slot supports microSD™ memory card for up to 128GB additional storage (card not included)" I purchased a Samsung EVO Select 128GB 80MB/s micro SDXC $32 total and I don't regret ordering that for this phone. Make sure you have a paper cilp and Google HTC One M8 how to install SIM card/micro SD, I did not have the product that HTC makes to open the slot easier. The flagship at an exceptionally affordable price with very helpful customer service by bidallies. Perfect condition, extremely satisfied. I will consider future flagships to be purchased from this seller. Best Regards, John ClaudioRead full review

I have had one of these phones for the last five years and they are great. Plenty of memory for all my needed apps. I destroyed my last one at work so hence the new one. Not sure how it would be for personal use but great when you work on the road and jobs are accessed through the internet.

A Windows Phone is pretty much a Windows Phone. All of them are operationally Great and all any one really needs. But . . . The HTC One M8 is so smooth and fast. The screen size is nice and looks great, too. The battery life is good. General use without the battery save running averages 26 hours. With the battery save running and normal use I got 3 days and 2 hours on a full charge. The camera's work well. So far I haven't had any red eye shots from the flash Like I've had with so many other cell phone cameras. My previous phone was a Nokia Lumia 822, which I was satisfied with and really hoped to hang onto for a while but I busted the screen. Moving from the 822 to the HTC One M8 was like moving from a Ford up to a Lincoln. The Ford is nice and runs well but the Lincoln is, oooh so much nicer.Read full review

Apps open immediately, fast scrolling, fast email and update download speeds. Overall an excellent choice for those who want to not only sync Microsoft Apps but have Remote Connection features. Java emulator is a plus!

Absolutely love this phone, looks amazing and performs brilliantly, with one exception.... Phone is locked to Verizon's PXT/MMS settings at the factory. Phone does not provide the ability to change these settings (option doesn't exist within the phone), and neither HTC or Verizon are able/willing to provide a solution to this issue to provide full functionality.
