Almost a hands free car kit too!
A cracking bit of kit especially if the USB port used is mains powered. If you want to Bluetooth a set of active speakers or connect a phone to your hi fi this is a cheap, simple and effective answer. The minor failing is that every car fag lighter to usb power supply I have found (at any price) squawks short range Radio Frequency (R.F) interference. This device isn’t R.F shielded enough, It picks up a slight buzz from the voltage regulator. It is only really noticeable in very quiet passages or if I am using Sat Nav on the phone with the music player turned off. However for well less than a tenner, as my 55 plate car has a 3.5mm input jack I have got Music/BBC Sounds from my phone, Stat nav moaning Minnie through the stereo and almost a hands free kit on the phone (when it is mounted on a dashboard clamp). If you are listening to music and a call comes through the music and sat nav are automatically muted (the ring tone plays through the stereo), however you have to rely in the phones internal mic and loudspeaker to answer a call. It is more than adequate to answer a call and tell the caller to wait until you can get to a safe place to talk properly (for safety’s sake you should do this in any case however expensive your system). Because of the screening issue only 4 stars but this was my second purchase, second he one is for my bedroom hi fi...’Nuff said….last word buy with confidence.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It works
The sound out put jack socket stopped working on my laptop so I used this Bluetooth device to fix the problem and it works really well. Put it into a USB port on the laptop. To power it. Then Bluetooth connect to it. Plug you 3.5 audio lead into it and get clean sounding audio from the computer to speakers. Simple, quality, stereo
To be clear, the dongle IS stereo. I actually dismantled mine and fitted it inside an old but very high quality surround sound system and I'm very happy with the quality of the sound. Both my laptop and phone connect to the dongle easily (only one device can connect at a time so you have to disconnect your device before anything else can connect to it). The operation is simple, it plays a little jingle when it's first powered on, then says 'connected' or 'disconnected' as appropriate. Simple! I'll likely buy a couple more of these as they work so well, and as far as I can tell it has a microphone in it so you can use it as a very basic hands free kit for your car too.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Remarkable little dongle
I used this to add Bluetooth to my car stereo via its auxiliary input. For power, it plugs into my USB cigarette lighter adapter, and with a permanently installed cable hidden behind the dashboard is good to go. Connection was very simple and given it can never be Hi-Fi, the sound quality is arrestingly good - specifically stereo imaging from internet radio apps.
