great features, very fragile and easily broken after partial assembly
Very very fragile balsa material, instruction a bit ambiguous, needs a little imagination to complete model. Some of the cut outs were split and needed planking before assembly. overall the model is well detailed and have enjoyed building this kit

Black Spitfire model
Difficult to make although the modern way of pre cutting the parts, which breakout of the balsa sheets makes construction much easier. Not recommended for children, just too difficult and time consuming. Most annoying is the propeller and spinner combination. They come separately and are very difficult to cut and align with each. other. Having said that, its a beautiful aeroplane and if you persevere with it, you are rewarded with a much more satisfying reproduction than a plastic model. Haven't tried to fly mine, wouldn't risk crashing it.
