This will not work on very heavy electric mirrors. The Best way to fix it back on is to clean the glass with some type of alcohol methylated spirit Brandy, whiskey that type thing, not white spirit. Also make sure the mirror is cleaned also the same way. Then peel back one side of the pad and stick it on the mirror. When the weather is cold outside any sticky pad will not work properly and may fall off. So the best thing is to get a hair a dryer if you can. Warm up your windscreen and the interior mirror before you peel .

Simply does not work
I have used many of these over the years, always a problem on old Ford Fiestas etc and even the Ford supplied ones didn't work (I worked in bodyshop for Ford main dealer).. but these are 'extra strong' so thought they might have been improved. I needed to secure a rear view mirror temporarily on my AC Cobra for IVA test, after which a chrome period dash mounted mirror would be fitted. I warmed up the pad in sun for 30 minutes, made sure the new windscreen was perfectly clean with panel wipe. Fitted the light weight rear view mirror. Car is in workshop, so not even being driven or parked outside and subjected to the hot sun we have had or vibration from being driven. Yet after 5 days it simply fell off... 'extra strong'? As bad as I expected.

Maybe I was unlucky

Didn't work
Purchased these to hold a fairly heavy rearview mirror. Cleaned windscreen and back of mirror mount as instructed, van was left for two hours, went back to drive it mirror had fallen off.
