To be fair it does a good job on steaming vegetables but I bought it hoping I could use it for rice but alas the holes in the trays are far too big. In fainess it doesn't mention rice in the advert but you would expect it to do it. The main problem is the fact that it is supposed to be two tier, well it is but only if you have and extra large Microwave. It will not fit in mine and have tried it in a couple of neighbours microwaves and it doesnt fit in theirs either. So if you want a single dish steamer thats no good for rice this is the one to buy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Doesn't fit together very well. Could be dangerous when dealing with hot steam?
I have used microwave steamers for a while and love them! However the two tier version does not fit together that well so can be difficult when removing from microwave full of steaming red hot veg etc.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Better than using say epans

It's ok nothing to rave about
It can be a bit fiddly at times trying to get the mid tier tray to sit perfectly on the bottom, as the lip of it is almost has no real edging on it. So, in hindsight if I had known that I would have not bought it even though it does do the job I just wish the tiers sat more snugly together than easily being tipped if not balanced properly on top of each other.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
