6000 miles until first puncture
Bought these as replacement after my rear of the previous pair got a first puncture in the rain and the dark after 6000 miles of Deliveroo work: a cut, probably from broken bottles. As the front tyre was not so worn down, I haven't fitted the remaining new tyre to the front yet though it is still at some risk because of the wear and tear. I didn't get the first pair from this supplier but I do have some (now very worn) 700 cc Marathon Plus tyres from them on my OTHER electric bike which has done even more miles, around 8000, without ANY punctures. Punctures waste money on tubes and time wheeling the bike home: roadside repair with the very stiff SMPs is not really a viable option -- even in sunny daylight conditions rather than cold wet weather at night. So I do recommend SMPs for making this hassle a rare occurrence though I would recommend not deliberately riding through glass and over thorns etc to show off as this will backfire on you.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
