Consumer friendly
I bought this being a little leary because it being a refurbished unit, but after having it and using the product, it was a good buy. The unit offers all the options that I wanted, wifi, apps, browser, blu ray, regular dvd. It's also vary friendly for consumer use. Plug it, hook it up, and go through the set up process. Good sounding system w/ one very annoying issue
This system looks and sounds great, the one issue I have with it is, the rear speakers connect to a wireless receiver so you don't have to run speaker wire around the room. Every time you turn on the system after it has been off for a while you have to re-establish the wireless connection between the system and the wireless receiver to get the rear speakers to work. The process goes like this, with every thing off, hold the mute button on the remote for 5 seconds, then power up the wireless receiver and stick a paper clip into the little reset hole on the back it for 5 seconds, then turn on the DVD player and it connects. This gets to be a real hassle, and there are no hard wire connections on the back of the DVD player so you have to use the wireless receiver. I called Samsungs tech support and they tell me this is the way it is designed to work.... I'm like REALLY? Not exactly user friendly - right! Tech supports response is, is there anything else I can help you with? I read through all the manuals and product info, no where does it state you have to do this every time you want to use this system. It Works but Not so Fantastic
The sound is not that great for the price. The remote is soooo very tiny that you have to carefully use your fingertips to push buttons. There is no "Stop" button for playback, perhaps there is a way to do it without turning the power off but it is not very intuitive. Fast-Forward Search (or Rev) requires you to hold the button for more than a second then release or else it will jump chapters. This has had me cussing way too often. There is only one speed of Frame-by-Frame and it is only forward not back. Loading a disc causes it to make a loud buzzing sound, then it ejects, but it always works after re-inserting two three or sometimes four times.

Very impressed
Sound is quite impressive. Didn't have easy access to install back speakers into my ceiling so the wireless speakers are PERFECT for my needs. You plug in a base unit in the back of the room and there are wires from the base unit to the two speakers which I placed on a shelf behind my sofa. The base unit connects wirelessly to the system. "Not Working", not true.
