When this gadget arrived I was surprised how small it was, but in this case small means MIGHTY, this knife sharpener is just totally amazing, in no time my knives were sharper than when I purchased them. No matter how I tried I could never get a sharp blade on my knives, I had some very expensive knives but after a certain amount of use they started to go blunt, I just could not get them sharp again. I have to admit at first I was unsure due to its size, it is small, but have to admit so far it has sharpened some very blunt knives I had and the way it grips the works top is very good and reduces the chances of cutting your other hand. Hope this help
