My 3rd Purchase of this Portable Radio (has great battery life)
This "Portable Radio" is p/o my life. My first purchase was probably around 15-20 years ago, and during all this time I probably use it just about every day. I only use it for the AM, as I only listen to "Sports Radio" with it. I use other media for video and/or music listening. The greatest feature of this radio is how long re-chargeable AA batteries last in it. Despite using it everyday (typically, 15-minutes), the batteries last 2-3 months before a re-charge is required. The radio itself, typically lasts around 5-years before something goes wrong with it. Good Sound And Compact
The perfect little radio with good sound for the bedroom or garage. Love the AC/DC power options and it's small size, compact and cool. Bought mainly for the local FM stations and it pulls them in real good, don't care about the AM band as I never listen to Am stations at all. This should Sony’s Gold Standard!
Great portable AM FM radio! I can’t say enough great things about this radio tbh. The reception is incredibly super sensitive that it could pick up very faint signals from 500 miles away as though the radio station that far away is just like in the next building and other radio stations are crystal clear and resulting in you having MORE station to listen to! This portable SHOULD BE Sony’s Golden Bench mark standard for they achieved more street cred of just how good Sony’s radios really are tbh. It’s no more wonder to me on why Sony is the name for high quality radios and they’ve been making radios for the longest time maybe from the late 70’s until today. The sound coming from this radio is crisp, the treble and bass are equally balanced and it never sound “Tinny” or music coming from a tin can sound. A highly recommended and a “Must Have” AM FM Portable Radio and you should get one!
