Best price on the internet!
The simple installation without wires to speakers all over the room adds to the beauty of a system that adequately imitates more expensive surround sound. This system is loud enough to fill my 500 square foot room with left over capacity. The commentary is clear and the system seems well-balanced. I put the main speaker on the wall at ear level and the bass woofer on a shelf behind the listening area at ear level and it sounds perfect. Bose says it doesn"t matter so much about placement as their system is designed to sound good no matter if you mount the speaker or not. I know when it is displayed in the store the speaker is mounted. The mounting hardware is an extra $50 but I think it was worth it. I didn't have to play with my at all. Defective Control Console
After I shipped this system internationally and cost me around $1500, the receiver discovered that the Control Console keeps shutting down and sometime it doesn't turn on at all. They tried every possible solution to fix it but all the efforts have gone in vain, it seems the unit itself is defective. I can't return it as it will be waste of money to ship it back to the U.S. I am in process to search to buy only the Control Console. This system took a while to set up (be sure you have a few hours from start to finish). The sound is much stronger than my TV speakers in terms of volume and especially clarity. Once I have the entire set-up done, we are going to watch a Russel Crowe movie to see if we can actually understand what he says. That will be the ultimate test.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not like the "old" days

This particular unit has a known issue from the manufacture. The wireless accoustimass sub will randomly become disconnected
