Very good quality glass magnifier. I wanted to replace an old glass magnifier where the frame had broken away after many years, and also wanted a glass with the best zoom possible and this X 5 zoom, which can be used both at home and in my bag. I also preferred to continue with the classic type of magnifying glass because those made from plastic soon become scratched on the surface and then blurred and poor vision. Was given a 2x plastic model magnifyer but still unable to see the small writing on product containers and jars. This 5 X quality glass is just the job and very happy with it.

The 5 x view is lost towards the edges. the good side to the Magnifier is that the item has a gas lens and therefore feels better in the hand. the handle is plastic joined to a bracket that contains the lens which seems weak ..the lens does not sit in the middle of the outer ring. Lot of money for what it is.

The magnifier is made of glass and steel and not plastic. It works very well, my only suggestion would be to supply some kind of cover for protecting the glass, obviously this would up the price a little.
