Secure and sturdy design
Sturdy construction with aerodynamic profile and rubber strip insert that can be removed for installing attachments. The tightening arm was well geared so no real effort and a torque limiting ratchet prevents overtightening. You are expected to go round and retighten again after the rubber interface with the roof rails relaxes. Very secure. The price reflects the quality and BMW status but I was reluctant to describe the product as good value.

Excellent BMW roofbars
Over the years, on a number of cars, I have used a number of different roofbars. These bespoke BMW roofbars are in a whole new category, they are so good. Very high quality of materials, very well designed, and very easy to fit. Usually, roofbars have special tools supplied in order to tension them onto the roof. In the case of these BMW roofbars, no special tools are needed, which is what sets them apart from the alternatives. Highly recommended.
